NRF welcomes House hearing on pro-growth tax policy for Americans
The National Retail Federation has applauded the House Ways and Means Subcommittee on Tax hearing, “Your Paycheck, Returned: How the Working Families Tax Cuts Delivered for Americans.”
The NRF expressed how it was delighted the House had highlighted the importance of pro-growth tax policy to American workers, businesses and communities.
Ashley Wilson, the NRF’s VP of tax policy, said: “Retail is the nation’s largest private-sector employer, supporting 55 million American jobs and contributing $5.3 trillion annually to the U.S. economy.”
Adding: “Today’s hearing underscores how competitive tax policy helps retailers invest in employees, raise wages, expand operations and strengthen the communities they serve.”
The NRF went on to thank Chairman Jason Smith, R-Mo., and members of the Committee for continuing to advance policies that promote economic growth, job creation and American competitiveness.
