Omega archival pieces re-enter the spotlight

Omega pieces from the brand’s archive have re-entered the spotlight after being showcased at this year’s Met Gala.

Brand ambassador and actress Nicole Kidman wore a vintage 23 mm Constellation Manhattan, a jewellery timepiece from 1982.

The model is distinguished by half-moon facets at each end of the case, and four screwed claws that hold the sapphire crystal glass and gasket to the case.

Crafted in a mix of 18K white gold and 18K yellow gold, it features 34 diamonds on the bezel, 178 diamonds on the bracelet, and 12 more diamonds used as hour markers.

In addition to Kidman, American actor and playwright Colman Domingo wore a vintage 33 mm Omega Constellation Manhattan in 18K yellow gold and stainless-steel with a sun-brushed black dial.

Further big names who sported Omega at the event include Tom Francis, Dónal Finn, and Connor Storrie, who all wore the Constellation Observatory in 39.4 mm — the first two-hand watch to achieve Master Chronometer certification.
