Oris collaborates with The Muppets again for latest launch
Oris has teamed up with Disney’s The Muppets again, this time for its ProPilot X Gonzo Edition.
Following previous collaborations with Kermit the Frog and Miss Piggy, it’s now the turn of The Great Gonzo.
The watch is built on the skeletonised titanium hand-wound ProPilot X Calibre 115, which stands out for packing a 10-day power reserve.
It features a vibrant blue, red, and yellow gradient skeleton layout, a rainbow laser-textured dial ring, a chilli-pepper-shaped power reserve hand, and a power reserve indicator marked with 10 “GREAT” days.
The pièce de résistance of the design is a hidden optical trick — when the 1.8 metre mainspring is fully wound, laser-etched coils at the 12 o’clock barrel reveal Gonzo’s smiling face. As the watch winds down, the image disappears, mirroring the suspense of a classic Gonzo stunt from the iconic TV show.
Measuring 44 mm across in a multi-piece titanium case and bracelet, the watch is water-resistant to 100 metres and retails for £7,900.
