Owner of Florida jeweler killed in tragic accident
Florida jeweler and Rolex authorized dealer McCaskill & Company has reported the sudden death of its co-founder Elizabeth Campbell.
In a statement, the retailer, based near Miramar Beach in Destin, said that Campbell had been hit from behind by a car while enjoying her usual morning walk in a safe residential neighborhood.
“She was our matriarch and the guiding light of what built McCaskill & Company,” the statement said.
“She exuded joy and strength. She was a steel magnolia with a massive heart. She was an amazing businesswoman who led McCaskill & Company to become one of the finest family-owned jewelers in America.
“The loss of her vibrant smile, talent and leadership is incalculable. Our industry has lost one of its true stars.”
Campbell is survived by her husband and co-founder of McCaskill & Company, Bill Campbell.
