Pininfarina and Globics embark on Pura new chapter

Pininfarina and Globics have confirmed the release of their next generation of hybrid smartwatch, the Pura.

Launching this month, the companies behind the watch have explained how it is the next step in their offering, which caters for those who value the aesthetic of a traditional watch, with the functionality of a modern smartwatch.

They say the result is a refined timepiece that delivers “meaningful health insights” without the “distraction or visual noise of a digital screen.”

At its core, Pura includes advanced stress monitoring and Heart Rate Variability (HRV) tracking. Continuous heart rate monitoring, sleep analysis and activity tracking also operate quietly in the background, surfacing insights only when needed through the Pininfarina VITA companion app.

This approach has been designed with the aim of ensuring the technology adds to daily life, rather than interrupting it.

Reflecting on the launch, Fabio Calorio, SVP of brand at Pininfarina, explained: “At Pininfarina, design is about purity of form, emotional connection, and it’s about humanizing innovation. With PURA, we have created a watch that captures our design heritage, feels elegant and premium, while quietly supporting people in their everyday lives. It is a celebration of simplicity, beauty, and precision.”

While Loewe Lee, managing director at Globics Technology, added: “Pura represents the culmination of years of development and listening to what hybrid users truly want, incredible design, effortless technology, and reliability they can trust. This release reflects our commitment to elevating the hybrid category and delivering meaningful innovation with world-class partners like Pininfarina.”

The watch will retail for £249 / $249.
