Shortlist revealed ahead of inaugural CMJ Awards
The Company of Master Jewellers has released the shortlist for its inaugural awards, created to recognise the value its membership delivers to the watch and jewellery trade in the UK.
Launched to “showcase the achievements and talent” of the CMJ’s membership of retailers and suppliers, the evening will be held during its autumn trade event in August.
Designed to give members a new opportunity to promote excellence and expertise, the CMJ has curated a total of nine categories and corresponding shortlists, which are as follows:

Commenting on the announcement, Patrick Turner, the CMJ’s managing director, said: “I’m really pleased to see the level of support our members have shown for these awards. The quality of entries has been outstanding.
“It’s a fantastic opportunity to champion and highlight the incredible work being done by independent jewellers and the suppliers who support them, and the vital contribution they make to the wider industry and our high streets.”
The finalists will now be voted for by a panel of judges from within the CMJ who represent a cross-section of retailers and suppliers, with the winners kept strictly under wraps until the awards night. There will also be a Lifetime Contribution award, which is still open for nominations and will be decided by the CMJ head office team.
