Smash and grab at Rolex store in Knightsbridge
A Rolex store in central London was targeted yesterday by armed robbers, reported to have stolen thousands of pounds worth of watches.
Police officers were called at 10:53am on Tuesday January 20th to the Knightsbridge boutique, which is run by Bucherer, after receiving reports that a group of men had entered the store, threatened staff with weapons, and stolen multiple watches.
The robbers were described by onlookers as wearing masks and are believed to have ridden motorbikes into the store before grabbing several watches worth thousands.
Photos and videos from the scene posted to social media showed one motorbike abandoned inside the boutique as police officers and forensic officers navigated the crime scene.
So far, no injuries have been reported, and no arrests have been made.Police say enquiries are still ongoing and have appealed for anyone with more information to contact police on 101, quoting reference 2313/20Jan.
