Snoopy and Woodstock are having a Ball
Ball Watch Company has collaborated for the first time with cartoon character Snoopy on the launch of the Engineer Master II Snoopy Flying Ace.
It’s a nod to Ball’s American roots, celebrating the debut of Snoopy in comic book Peanuts on October 4 in 1950.
Focusing on Snoopy’s World War 1 ‘Flying Ace’ alter ago, the new watch shows Snoopy guiding his imaginary Sopwith Camel biplane at the 9 o’clock sub-dial, while Woodstock — Snoopy’s friend and sidekick — sits at the tip of the running seconds hand.
As is customary with Ball, the watch comes with proprietary micro gas tubes on the hands and baton hour markers, ensuring constant, zero-charge legibility in darkness.
Housed in a robust 46 mm stainless steel case, the new timepiece is powered by the manual-winding BALL RR2102 movement — a nod to the aviation watches worn by WWI pilots.
Launching in mid-August and limited to just 410 pieces, the Engineer Master II Snoopy Flying Ace is priced at £2,510 / $2,999.
