Department store Macy’s, Inc. has seen net sales increase +1.1% year-on-year (YoY) to $4.87 billion in Q2 of the 2026 fiscal year (FY26).
In light of the strong performance, the company — which owns Macy’s, Bluemercury, and Bloomingdale’s — has now adjusted its full-year outlook, now expecting net sales of $21.83 billion (up from $21.68 billion).
Macy’s highlighted strength in watches and fine jewellery within Bloomingdale’s, helping drive the luxury department store’s comparable sales up +11.3% YoY.
The retailer also received $116 million in tariff refunds, with most of the proceeds being reinvested into its turnaround program.
CEO Tony Spring’s “Bold New Chapter” strategy continues to focus on higher-margin products, improved merchandising, store upgrades and the closure of weaker locations.
