TAG Heuer creates special edition Indy 500 timepiece
TAG Heuer has created a special edition timepiece in celebration of the Indy 500 race.
The TAG Heuer Formula 1 Solargraph X Indy 500 will mark the 13th collaboration between the Swiss watchmaker and the historic race in a limited-edition collection of only 1,110 pieces.
Since 2004, TAG Heuer has been the official timekeeper and scorer for the event.
The 500-mile open wheel race, held on Memorial Day weekend at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway, sees cars reach speeds exceeding 230 mph on its 2.5-mile oval track.
The watch itself is a 38 mm model in a sandblasted steel case, housing the Solargraph movement. The movement can be powered for an entire day with just one minute of direct sunlight.
Additional design elements have been incorporated as a direct reference to the race, including a brick pattern on the case back, an Indy 500 logo on the dial, and textured brown high-contrast elements on the dial nodding to the bricks of the track.
Powered by the calibre TH50-00, the model is complete with a steel folding clasp with double safety pushbuttons and adjustment link extension, finalised with a TAG Heuer engraving.
The design is available from 11 May 2026 and retails at £1,900 / $2,250.
