The evolution of Grand Seiko’s Evolution 9 collection
Grand Seiko has added nine new references to its flagship Evolution 9 collection, featuring five 9R Spring Drive models and four 9S mechanical models.
Seven of the new additions swap standard steel for Grand Seiko’s proprietary alloy, offering corrosion resistance and a brighter finish.
Meanwhile, the redesigned, tapered bracelets feature a three-step micro-adjustment clasp that adjusts in 2 mm increments.
Grand Seiko has included a 37 mm Spring Drive option, as an alternative to the standard 40 mm.
In the new lineup, the Spring Drive models feature an ‘Ultra Fine Accuracy’ calibre accurate to +/- 20 seconds per year, showcasing new blue and midnight-black “Lake Suwa” dials; while the mechanical models run on the Calibre 9SA5, offering refreshed ‘White Birch’ styles alongside a light blue ‘Genbi Valley’ texture.
Arriving in September (Spring Drive) and October (mechanical) 2026, the watches are priced at £9,000 / $10,20 for Ever-Brilliant Steel and £10,000 / $11,400 for High-Intensity Titanium.
