Three is a magic number for Seiko’s 145th anniversary celebrations
Seiko has unveiled three new watches as part of its 145th anniversary celebrations.
The watches, across the Prospex and Presage lines, range in price from £560 to £1,600 and are all limited editions.
First up is the “Craftsmanship” Classic Series Arita Porcelain in Ruri Blue, an exclusive release limited to just 1,500 pieces worldwide.
Protected by dual-curve sapphire crystal, the dial features the deepest Arita glaze achieved by Presage while the case incorporates a super-hard coating for enhanced durability.
Powered by Seiko’s in-house 6R51 automatic movement, the watch delivers -15/+25 seconds per day accuracy with a 72-hour power reserve and is priced at £1,600 / $1,750 with deliveries starting in July.
Next up is the Prospex “Samurai” Diver’s Watch in Silverstone which has been designed for reliability beneath the surface.

With 200m water resistance and a unidirectional rotating bezel for safe diving use, the silver dial is designed for clarity in low-light conditions as it also deploys LumiBrite technology on the hands and indices.
Limited to 9,999 pieces worldwide and available to pre-order from today, this model is priced at £560 and deliveries will start in June.
Last and certainly not least in this anniversary release is the Presage Classic Series “Shino-neri” limited edition.

Limited to 2,500 pieces worldwide, the brand say this release is designed to reflect its ongoing dedicated to refined Japanese design.
Powered by the in-house 6R51 calibre, the watch delivers -15/+25 seconds per day accuracy and an extended 72-hour power reserve, combining mechanical reliability with enduring design.
The Presage Classic Series ‘Shiro-neri’ Limited Edition is also available to pre-order today, and is priced at £900 / $950.
All pre-orders can be made at seikoboutique.co.uk.
Last week, Seiko released a contemporary take on the classic trench watch as part of its 5 Sports Field collection.
