Two new releases from Citizen as part of its Eco-Drive celebrations
Citizen is continuing to raise the bar as part of the 50th anniversary celebrations of its Eco-Drive technology, releasing two new additions to its Premier collections.
The first is The Citizen Limited-Edition Model (AQ4094-58L), which launches this summer and features a Japanese washi paper dial hand-dyed in kachi-iro — a deep indigo ‘victory color’ traditionally used on samurai armor.
The dial is colored using a traditional natural lye fermentation technique. Because washi paper naturally diffuses light, it pairs ideally with Citizen’s proprietary Eco-Drive technology, which converts any light into energy.
The 40 mm watch features a lightweight, scratch-resistant Super Titanium™ case and bracelet. Inside, a high-accuracy Eco-Drive movement delivers a precision of + or – 5 seconds per year.
The second is the ATTESA Crystal Octagon F950 CC4107-80H, which features an octagonal bezel crafted from recrystallized titanium. The titanium underwent high-temperature treatment and cooling to ensure every piece has a unique crystal pattern.
Coming in a sharply faceted 44 mm black case and bracelet made of Super Titanium™, the watch is treated with Citizen’s scratch-resistant Duratect DLC coating.
Powered by the flagship F950 Eco-Drive Satellite Wave GPS movement, which achieves signal reception speeds of just three seconds to update local time anywhere in the world.
