UK Jewellery Awards prepares for biggest edition yet
The biggest night in the UK jewellery industry’s calendar is just over a month away, with the UK Jewellery Awards taking place on 8 July at a central London venue.
The event is now in its 34th year, with several of its categories being relevant to businesses that operate within the watch segment of the industry.
Emerging Jewellery/Watch Brand of the Year; Employer of the Year; Jewellery/Watch Supplier of the Year (under £500); Marketing/Social Media Campaign or Collaboration of the Year (Brands); Marketing/Social Media Campaign or Collaboration of the Year (Retail); Retail Innovator of the Year; Retail Team of the Year; and Retailer of the Year (six stores or more) are all categories that watch brands and/or retailers could be in the frame for.
“The UK Jewellery Awards are the industry’s opportunity to celebrate excellence and recognise the businesses and individuals setting the standard for the rest of the trade,” said Ruth Faulkner, managing editor of Retail Jeweller, which hosts the event. “Receiving a record number of entries this year, against a backdrop of economic challenges and record-high precious metal prices, is a powerful endorsement of the awards and the value they continue to hold for the industry.
“The awards may carry the jewellery banner, but watches remain an integral part of the UK retail landscape. With so many jewellers also operating successful watch businesses, it is important that the awards recognise achievements across both sectors. Our aim is to celebrate excellence wherever it is found, reflecting the diverse and evolving nature of today’s jewellery and watch industry.”
One of the category sponsors of the event is Insurance specialist TH March, which will also be sponsoring the biggest night in the UK watch industry — the UK Watch Awards.
