UK watch sales volume and value up in Q1

The UK watch market has been performing admirably based on data from retail intelligence specialists, GfK.

Their most recent report sees healthy growth across almost every metric for both Q1 of this year, and the whole financial year up to March 2026.

It reports 7.4% growth in sales value for Q1 compared to the same period last year, and 6.3% sales value growth for the financial year.

For the year, sales volume was down slightly (-2.7%), which is in line with patterns from the last few years of fewer watch sales at higher prices. 

That said, sales volume for online sales specifically were up a huge 17% year-on-year in the first quarter of 2026.
