Victorinox embraces solar power for the first time
Victorinox, the Swiss brand synonymous with the Swiss army knife, is launching its first-ever solar watch.
The Concept One will be powered by a Swiss Made Ronda 215 movement, which has an eight-year battery life and is able to withstand eight months of total darkness and still restart within a minute of exposure to light.
There is also a non-solar, automatic option, which utilises the La Joux-Perret G100 calibre, which has a 68-hour power reserve.
Both versions come in a 39 mm stainless steel case, with a refined dial, and a sunray-satin bezel.
As we’ve come to expect from Victorinox, the watch is built to be robust, with double anti-shock protection, magnetic resistance (for the solar versions) and a 5+ year warranty.
