Watches of Switzerland leapfrogs Bucherer in the States
US jewelry trade publication National Jeweler has published its ‘State of the Majors’ list for 2026.
The once-a-year publication seeks to rank the largest watch and jewelry sellers in the US according to sales value, as well as physical store footprint.
It unsurprisingly ranks Signet Jewelers — which includes Kay Jewelers, Zales, and Jared — at number one, with sales of $6.36 billion from a retail network of over 2,000 stores across the States.
Richemont overtook Walmart and Amazon to the number two spot in sales, bringing in revenue of $3.62 billion. Other notable inclusions are Watches of Switzerland Group — which includes Mayors and Betteridge — leapfrogging Bucherer — which includes Tourneau — in the sales rankings.
