Watches of Switzerland promotes buyer to watches from jewellery

Watches of Switzerland has promoted Amelia Richards to the position of buyer in its watches division, from her previous position as junior buyer in its luxury jewellery operation.

“After an incredible journey within our jewellery department, I’m excited to take everything I’ve learnt into the world of watches,” Richards posted.

Richards has been with the group since 2020, and previously had experience at Joules, Kurt Geiger, and Karen Millen.

“From celebrating Mappin & Webb’s 250th anniversary and launching David Yurman in the UK, to opening the Manchester Jewel House and launching Mappin & Webb’s first lab-grown diamond collection, I’m incredibly proud of what we’ve achieved,” she continued.

Richards was full of praise for Watches of Switzerland Group as an employer. “I’m also incredibly grateful to have worked within a leadership team that genuinely believes in developing its people and investing in training and opportunities to grow. That support has played such an important part in my journey and has given me the confidence to take this next step.

“A huge thank you to my colleagues, managers, directors, suppliers, brand partners, clients and everyone who has supported me along the way. The experiences, opportunities, and relationships I’ve built have been invaluable.”
