Watches2U announces return to physical retail

Online watch retailer Watches2U has announced plans to get back into bricks and mortar retail.

The company previously had a physical store in Brighton under the ‘ChrisElli’ trading name, but ultimately decided to pivot back to its core strengths in e-commerce.

In a post on LinkedIn, owner Danny Toffel said: “We will be moving into an old Pandora store in a large shopping centre in Sutton right next door to Primark. “Sutton has very few jewellery stores currently and we will be the only one in the shopping centre.

“The plan is to make it a proper destination for watches, jewellery, and sunglasses, with a mix of well-known brands and a few ‘you won’t find this everywhere’ lines.”

Toffel reached out to any brands or distributors who think that they would be a good fit for the new store, encouraging them to get in touch with him.

“If you’re a distributor, brand owner, or know someone I should speak to, I’d love an intro. Drop a comment or DM me and I’ll share what we’re looking for,” he said.
