Who wore which watches at the Oscars?
The 98th annual Academy Awards took place last night, and, where there are Oscars, there are also watches.
Here’s a round-up of some of the stand-outs:
Piaget
Michael B. Jordan won his very first Oscar for Best Actor for his role in Ryan Coogler’s Sinners and he was spotted wearing a stylish vintage Piaget.
Also sporting the brand were R&B singer Usher, who wore a blue leather vintage Piaget, and Irish actress Kerry Condon, who sported the white gold Piaget Limelight Gala Precious Watch.

Omega
Omega had one of the largest presence of any watchmaker on the night, with nominees, winners, presenters, and attendees all sporting the Swiss brand.
Best Supporting Actress winner Amy Madigan took to the stage wearing a 30mm Seamaster Aqua Terra in stainless steel and 18K Moonshine™ Gold with a diamond-set bezel, while fellow nominee Delroy Lindo turned heads with an as-yet unreleased Omega in 18K Moonshine™ Gold.
Perhaps the most sentimental Omegaof the night came courtesy of Nicole Kidman, who celebrated 25 years since her first Oscar nomination for Moulin Rouge. Kidman chose a personal vintage piece: a 14K white gold Sapphette from 1966 with a silver sunburst dial and diamond-set wings.
Nominee Wagner Moura kept things simple and elegant with a 41mm De Ville Prestige in stainless steel on a black leather strap, and Marvel actor Lewis Pullman opted for a 40mm De Ville Trésor on a grey leather strap.
Among attendees, Michael Cimino wore the ultra-luxurious 42mm Speedmaster Moonwatch Professional in 18K Canopus Gold™ on a matching bracelet; Outer Banks star Chase Stokes sported a 38mm Speedmaster in 18K Sedna™ Gold with a diamond-set bezel on a brown leather strap; and Reece Feldman completed the gold theme with a 30mm Seamaster Aqua Terra in 18K Moonshine™ Gold on a matching bracelet.
Audemars Piguet
Despite not having as many stars don their timepieces as Omega, APt made their presence felt with two very different but equally striking choices.
Legendary music producer, Raphael Saadiq, wore the Code 1.59 Selfwinding Flying Tourbillon Openworked watch, the first of its kind in the Code 11.59 collection. AP’s 41mm piece pairs black ceramic with 18-carat pink gold, with the two-tone aesthetic carrying through to its openworked dial, which offers a rare window into the movement below.
The German-Spanish actor and singer Aaron Piper sported a much less understated piece with the 34mm Royal Oak Frosted Gold Selfwinding in 18-carat yellow gold. The dial on this piece is finished with AP’s new embossed “Crystal Sand” texture to give a monochrome golden look made for the Oscars’ red carpet.
Hublot
Hublot’s statement for the night came with three red carpet appearances centred around the Classic Fusion family of watches.
Attending in support of Hamnet, actor Joe Alwyn wore the e-commerce exclusive Essential Grey 42mm, while the breakthrough Sinners star Miles Caton, who celebrated his 21st birthday two weeks ago, opted for the Chronograph Titanium King Gold 45mm.
The standout Hublot moment of the night though belonged to Kieran Culkin, who stepped onto the red carpet in the Chronograph King Gold 42mm, before taking to the stage to present the Best Supporting Actor award, one year on from winning the category himself at the 97th Academy Awards.
