WoS Group sponsors the King’s Trust Change a Girl’s Life campaign
In many countries around the world, March is Women’s History Month, marked by International Women’s Day on March 8.
It’s a key annual moment for The King’s Trust and its Change a Girl’s Life campaign. The charity initiative aims to support young women across the UK who are facing significant barriers to education, employment, and training. It provides them with the skills and support they need to build a brighter future.
For the second year in a row, The Watches of Switzerland Group, the UK’s largest watch retailer, has returned as the headline sponsor of the 2026 Change a Girl’s Life campaign.
The partnership was kicked off with a panel discussion on 12 March at the Mappin & Webb jewellery showroom in Manchester, featuring Olympic champion and advocate for women in sport, Dame Laura Kenny, jewellery designer Annoushka Ducas MBE, and master watchmaker, Rebecca Stuthers.
The talk centred on the role organisations can play in creating meaningful opportunities for young women in particular. These are more important than ever: research from The King’s Trust shows that 71% of young women always or often feel stressed, with 28% reporting they think they will fail in life.
As headline sponsor of the 2026 Change a Girl’s Life campaign, The Watches of Switzerland Group is supporting through a programme of in-house activities that raise awareness and engage colleagues across the business. In addition, from March to June this year, the Group’s jewellery brands, Goldsmiths and Mappin & Webb are donating 5% of all sales from selected jewellery lines. It is also partnering with two female-led jewellery brands — Annoushka and Pasquale Bruni — which are donating 5% of their sales to support the campaign.
“At the Watches of Switzerland Group, we believe confidence is built through experience, opportunity, access and support,” said Philippa Jackson, Executive Director of Human Resources, who helmed the panel talk on 12 March.
“Through conversations like this panel, alongside fundraising initiatives and colleague engagement across our business, we hope to shine a light on the challenges many young women face and support the vital work The King’s Trust is doing to help them build skills, confidence and independence.”
